Technorati’s Numbers are Wrong

Kevin Burton looks at the Technorati stats for blogs and has a different interpretation, based primarely on relating posts per day with the number of blogs. According to him weblogs are growing linearly, like the posts per day, not exponentially, like the Technorati numbers would have us believe. It mostly comes down to trying to track the number of active blogs or the number of created blogs. Active would make more sense to get a good grasp of what’s going on but it’s less spectacular so guess which one we hear about?
