Dan Gillmor on RSS hitting critical mass. Nothing particularly mind blowing in terms of ideas but it is part of a new batch of coverage concerning RSS and showing that it’s on the brink of going mainstream.
Speaking of RSS, as he mentions it’s still spotty, alpha and I’m not sure how useful (timely) the refresh of data is but a it’s a promising service to get local weather by RSS.

The data is cached for 3 hours, which is the standard window for US national weather service. Thats assuming everything works :)
