A little while ago a contest was started to find a new design for Jakob Nielsen’s useit.com. The results are in and I’m somewhat disapointed, a few good ones but nothing exceptional.
Favorites:
Only a few graphics… probably has the most “finished” look, very sharp.
Kraftsman is a bit too simple but great icons and very readable.
Airy has a great header design but is a bit pale.
Clean and Simple is exactly what it says.
Bluey very different from the others, very corporate.
Love the colors and typography of Boxy but the blue side looks unfinished.
