Page 23 Meme

A fun meme.

  1. Grab the nearest book.
  2. Open the book to page 23.
  3. Find the fifth sentence.
  1. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.

It was time to change the subject; he would be no use to me if he got too defensive.

Taken from Robert J. Sawyer’s Iterations. (Briliant writer, ugly, ugly website)

And, also for fun, I’ll include the “meme tracks”, starting with where I read it originally and going to the source. If you link me, please do the same.

sippey » Caterina » David Chess » Long story; short pier » skelkins

I stopped following there because, strangely, it changed from a list of things to do to just one, more detailed and using a different page and line. I decided to just keep that version in my tracking.

Glad to see I’m not the only nutter who follows memes back. The guy who skelkins references did do the exact same meme, he just picked up the list one later on, you just have to scroll down the page. Or you could go to here, where I do pretty much the same thing but going back two more.
