Not sure why I’m posting this but I can’t comment on their site so I’ll do it here. There’s this rumour that the next Powerbooks will have carbon fiber enclosures, it goes on to say that it will be “high-resin thermoplastic” and then “Anyone who has ever seen bare, unpainted carbon fiber knows the beauty of its black-on-black weave and…”.
True, carbon fiber can make for quite a look but in this case it’s high-resin thermoplastic, no weave, looks more like a mate finish plastic, you usually do see some fibers but not a weave, it’s more like plastic with some short carbon fibers mixed in. I could be wrong but come on, how often does that happen? ;)
