Curators are outraged by the loss of Iraqi antiquities, but unless they offer up some of their own collections they are hypocrites. Looting during war was the very process by which much of the contents of Western museums was originally obtained
Still a crying shame to learn of everything that is lost in Iraq but he does have a good point, with everything that is unused in museums everywhere it would a nice gesture of goodwill to help rebuild a respectable collection in Baghdad.
