An interesting gadget found on Andy Budd’s site, World 66 offers a neat little page where you enter all the countries you’ve visited and it generates a world map highlighting the places you’ve been as well as how it translates in percentage of countries in the world. I filled it in (see the “continue reading” link below): I’ve visited 21 countries, which I already knew, it turns out to be 9% of countries, that I didn’t know, and it really showed me that it’s high time I go to Asia and/or South America. Except for Australia—a worthy exception to be certain—I’ve never been any further south than Florida. I knew all that but seeing how much of the map isn’t reflected in my travels brings the point home even better.
