Also, a couple of days ago I realized something; for the first time in my adult life, I’ll be in the US not worrying about the exchange rate. In Québec we pay a total of 15% sales tax, so we’re used to paying more than the price displayed. Currently, the exchange rate is at 14% which means it’s just about the same. If I buy something for 10$, it’s pretty much the same amount I’m used to that’s coming out of my pocket. Incredible.
Not that long ago I’d multiply by 1.5 to get a quick idea of US to Canadian exchange. Ok, there’s an 8% sales tax in Austin but still, pretty sweeeeet to head out there not having to worry about everything costing loads more.
