I can’t stop thinking that what might make the device a winner is that it could also serve as essentially an Apple TV mark 3 or whatever. So when you’re not using it on the go, it’s natural home is near your TV, downloading stuff for playback either on the go or through your home theater system.

That’s something mentioned in a few places and would be interesting but how would it interface with the tv? Base station / dock you plug in? Wireless with the base?
