A poll on the most recognized and influential brands just came out today. I’ve noticed a few things; – I’m surprised that Google is first in Global reach but not first in US/Canada (the only other list it appears on) strange that it ranks sixth on that list but manages enough international votes to go to first overall without getting enough in any one place to get on that region’s list. I’m sure voting was seperate but you’d expect more “consistency”. – Why is Europe often grouped with Africa? I understand Africa is probably frequently looked at has too small in terms of impact for economic research but I dont see the close ressemblance with Europe that would warrant grouping… – Funny: the first 2 brands in south america are alcool. – Surprise: Lonely Planet makes it in at eight place in Asia Pacific.
