The guys at Coudal Partners have come up with a list of “field tested” books to enjoy this summer. Various friends of the partners share some book/location combos they enjoyed. Might cost me another couple of additions to the book pile.

I’m a big fan of lists. But “some moronic choices” indeed, in this case. I have trouble taking an article seriously when it puts People magazine fifth.
I’m trying to figure out the criteria they used to build their list. They chose People, so perhaps they went for mass appeal? But the pretentious though beautifully written Outside has relatively little. Premiere has indeed degenerated since my cegep days, but it definitely make the top 50.
