CNN Money’s The 50 people who matter now list is kind of weird. I know;
Our goal was to identify people whose ideas, products, and business insights are changing the world we live in today – those who are reshaping our future by inventing important new technologies, exploiting emerging opportunities, or throwing their weight around in ways that are sure to make everyone else take notice.
But still, even though I’m a big fan of Stewart and Caterina and I like DHH’s work at 37 Signals, I find it a bit exagerated to put them so high in such a list. Even considering the impact the first two are said to be having on Yahoo and the size of that company, I can’t really see them in 13th. Even if that makes sense, it should have been Fried and Hanson for 37 Signals, not just David.
Also, since when are the presidents of Venezuela and Russia considered despots? The fact your president doesn’t like Chavez doesn’t make him a despot.
