It’s been going for a while now but I’m kind of astonished at the whole hubub about the James Frey book, what the hell is the big deal? Who the fuck cares? Every time I saw the book on non fiction shelves I was surprised. Huh, it’s not fiction? Sure looks like a novel.
I’m not saying that as in “I knew all along”, just thinking that might be that pre scandal impression that makes me so unsurprised that he made shit up and so floored that people are pissed (hum, bit of a scatological phrase there). Anyone read it and feel had and mad about it??

read it. don’t feel mad about it. frankly – the stuff he made up wasn’t actually all that bad. lots of people go through much worse.
