Yes, Microsoft’s new Zune digital music player is just plain dreadful. I’ve spent a week setting this thing up and using it, and the overall experience is about as pleasant as having an airbag deploy in your face.—Avoid the loony Zune

They’ve been around for a little while but I never looked for them on Youtube before now, HP’s Personal Again ad campaign is really well done. Looks like something Apple would make.
The associated site is so so, the “signage” is pretty cool but way too similar to the cover for Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. I’m aware that both are aping Saul Bass but HP’s bugs me more, being so similar to the very recent books cover.
I probably get something like a half pound of useless crap in my mailbox each week (the real meatspace one) but you know what’s worse than that? Amongst all of the paper, I didn’t get the flyer warning that electricity was going to be cut early this morning up to 2pm. Nice, fun. And why? So they could make changes to the grid to accommodate the latest batch of frickin’ condos up the street, the ones who’ve been poisoning our lives since spring. Nice, fun.
