Ive Profile

The Guardian with a more detailed than usual profile of Jonathan Ive, the industrial design genius behind the Apple products.

Walk into almost any office, home, train or plane, or turn on the TV and watch Sex and the City and it’s impossible to disagree. His transparent plastic iMac, the neat iPod, the iBook, the G4 Cube and the Titanium PowerBook are icons. They single-handedly remind us of the power of elegant, emotional design.

Bleh Trend

First Daughter

The first daughter of the U.S. President heads off to college where she falls for a graduate student with a secret agenda.

Chasing Liberty

The President’s daughter, unable to experience life like a normal 18 year-old, escapes from her entourage of Secret Service agents while traveling in Europe. She falls in love with a handsome British stranger, who also happens to be working undercover for her father.

The Prince and Me

A fairy tale love-story about a pre-med student who falls in love with a Danish Prince who refused to follow the traditions of his parents and has come to the US to quench his thirst for rebellion.

Three movies I wont need to see. However, I wonder what that semi trend is about though? Maybe that’s the only “vehicle” producers can come up with to star young upcoming actresses?

Joyeux Noël

Joyeux Noël, Merry Christmas.

Ok he’s a bit creepy but it’s the thought that counts ;).

Vos Gueules

Shut it.

Itching Wallet

I can already fell my wallet credit card itching. Seems Apple is coming out with some new smaller iPods; smaller form factor, smaller capacity at 2 and 4GB (400-800 songs), smaller price starting at 100$US. That means around 135$CA, sounds good to me on all counts. Good thing I didn’t spend too much for Christmas :)

Redesign

Just a quick note to point you to La Flamme Rouge for which I’ve just installed a new design. It’s only on the frontpage for the moment.

The Other Green Drink

I knew that there was a drink very similar to Absinth that was available legally around here but I didn’t know that the actual “legendary” drink is legal! We’re so cool :). I remember in years past “Crème de menthe” was popular around christmas time, maybe it’s time to start a new tradition with a green drink…
